The Custom Design Experience
At RBO Custom Home Builders, we believe that every homeowner should have a choice! We've built our entire business on the realization that sophisticated buyers are not interested in "cookie cutter" homes.
In fact, the very method of construction utilized by RBO enables buyers to build a home specific to their needs, lifestyles and budgets.
Realizing the perfect home has to start with a perfect plan, (and not all budgets and lifestyles are the same), RBO has designed a process that takes our clients smoothly through the design phase. We like to call it The Custom Design Experience!
We first start by designing your budget. This is done by analyzing the complete financial picture as it relates to your new home. This would include any funds you wish to put into your new home, cash, equity from existing home, etc...
To figure the remaining balance of available construction funding, the next step will be to calculate a monthly mortgage note that fits comfortably into your budget. The amount of your mortgage note will dictate the amount of available funding, and by adding this figure to your cash or equity, we are able to design your new home around that figure.
Once we have determined your budget, we can start the design phase. This is the fun part as anything is possible! One story or two? Big kitchen? Cozy bedrooms? Home office? Anything is possible--because it's your design, meeting the demands of your needs and lifestyle! When you're satisfied that the design accurately represents your dream... we prepare a preliminary house plan together with specifications defining the amenities such as fixtures and appliances of your custom home.
Using the preliminary plan, we prepare a complete line item cost break down, showing the cost of every component in the home. When this has been completed, we sit down with you and go over every item of cost. Only after we are satisfied that you are familiar with all amenities and that all cost are in budget, will we start the final plan.
Perhaps the best part of the RBO Custom Design Experience is that RBO works with you every step of the way! You will always have complete control over your design, that's what makes it a custom home! However, we have professionals standing ready to help you in any area you might need, from color selections to space design!
