R. Bruce Olivier is the founder and president of RBO Custom Home Builders and comes to you with much more than the experience needed to construct your new home. Mr. Olivier has over 37 years of expert involvement in Real Estate, construction and land development throughout the Gulf Coast area.
Mr. Olivier holds a state contractors license for both residential and commercial construction in both Louisiana and Mississippi. In addition, he is a Louisiana real estate broker and certified real estate appraiser.
Over his career Mr. Olivier’s companies have built well over a thousand homes, numerous commercial projects and developed more than twenty major subdivisions.
In addition, Mr. Olivier’s experience encompasses the financial end of the building business. His efforts include the charter of a local bank, Parish National Bank, and served for many years as bank director.
Industry service has always been a big part of Mr. Olivier’s career. In 1977 with the help of eight other builders, he chartered the St. Tammany Home Builders Association. After serving the first two years as the president of the local association he then served eight consecutive years as a director.
Mr. Olivier also served seven years on the State of Louisiana Homebuilders Board, during that time he chaired the State of Louisiana Land Developers Council and well as the President’s Task Force for Home Financing. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 1985.
In addition to state and local boards, Mr. Olivier also served twelve consecutive terms as the Director for the National Home Builders (NAHB). He was awarded the National Home Builders Distinguished Industry Award.
Mr. Olivier has always found time for civic duties as well. Parish appointments and commissions include two years on the Parish Liaison Committee and three years as a commissioner on the Industrial Development Board.
City commissions include Commissioner of Municipal Employees Civil Service Board, Commissioner of Fire District Number One and Chairman of the Slidell Homebuilders Liaison Committee.
On November 2, 2007 Mr. Olivier was the 3rd builder member to be inducted into the St. Tammany / Washington Parish HBA Hall of Fame.
Judith C. Olivier
Judith C. Olivier has been working with RBO Custom Homes since 1976. Judy is the Chief Financial Officer of the Company and the wife of Bruce Olivier. In addition to her responsibility for all financial matters, she also acts as the office manager.
Before coming on board with RBO, Judy owned and operated a successful property management company called Apartment Locators whereby she managed and maintained over 500 units in the St. Tammany area. Judy holds a State of Louisiana Real Estate License and Series # 6 Brokers License as well.
Judy is an integral part of RBO and is ready to share her vast knowledge and experience in building your new home.
Gerald T. Brown
Gerald "Jerry" Brown has been employed with RBO since 1972. Jerry served both as Construction Superintendent and Chief Field Manager before being promoted to Vice President of Operations for the company. Jerry was recruited from the industrial maintenance field and has been responsible for the supervision of over a thousand homes.
Jerry is well known in the home building industry as probably the most astute person in the field when interpreting building codes and working with building officials. He is dedicated to the complete satisfaction of each client that comes to RBO.
Cynthia Devenny
Cindy has been employed with RBO since 1989 as the company's lead accountant. Cindy was recruited from the banking industry, and brought with her tremendous knowledge of the banking business.
Cindy has truly been an asset to RBO over the last decade, working closely with the banks and mortgage companies helping to make a professional company even more professional. Cindy stands ready to help you build your new home.
James R. Fatic
Jim came to RBO in 2004 after nearly 15 years with The Walt Disney Company – most recently as the Project Manager for Domestic Promotions for Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. He helped to create and implement promotions for the company’s major marketing events such as the 100 Years of Magic celebration, WDW’s Millennium Celebration and the 25th Anniversary Celebration. Additionally, he played a leadership role in the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the inauguration of Disney Cruise Line (both Disney Magic and Disney Wonder) and the launch of Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park.
He currently heads up the marketing and sales efforts for RBO Custom Home Builders.
Angele Nicosia
Angele has been employed with RBO since 2006 as the company’s accounting assistant. Angele has been in the accounting field for the past 15 years. Her duties help assure accurate record keeping for the duration of each project.
Angele also maintains our insurance and contractor documentation to assure complete compliance in the construction field.
Scott Cooley
Scott has been working with RBO since 2003 as the Estimator and Design Coordinator. His knowledge of estimating and design comes from practical experience in the homebuilding industry, as well as his studies in the College of Design’s School of Architecture at LSU.
As Estimator, Scott prepares detailed cost estimates of our client’s custom home building projects. These estimates are then used to determine if proposed projects are consistent with client’s budgetary requirements.
As Design Coordinator Scott helps place RBO clients with professional plan designers. As an added service for those clients starting from scratch, Scott will meet with them to prepare computerized drawings, sketches, etc. that can be used to help communicate their ideas to the plan designer for actual construction.
Reggie Hope
Reggie has been with RBO since 2006. His duties include Purchasing Agent and Client Representative. He brings 20 years of building experience and business and customer relationships to help RBO’s clients maximize their investment in their dream home.
As Purchasing Agent, Reggie works directly with each client on a personalized basis to help them make their selections for their home meet their desired standards. He works with our vendors and subcontractors to ensure that only the best products and services are used in completing their dream home.
As Client Representative, Reggie works as a liaison between each aspect of the building process ensuring a smooth working relationship among every detail associated with making our clients ideas come to life.
